Bench PR

Finally, I've graduated to 25 plates :)!
Successfully 5x5'ed it. Now I won't look so weak with the small 10/5/2.5 plates :)!
95 bench =/, started from 45 lbs (the bar) a month and a half ago.
And yeah...I'm pretty much going to max out on the calf machine (400 lbs) in a few weeks so I'll probably have to do calf raises with a barbell across my back. I do 5x15 on machine calf raises. My calf strength is disproportionate to the rest of my body.

Good Job Dragon!

Dont worry about looking weak with what you have on the bar. I started out lifting 115 for 6 reps in January, now I lift 145 for 10-12 reps. The weight isnt what is important, its the progress.

Keep up the good work!

keep going bro......... that was my first max when i was 15........ now im 22 and can rep 250 for 8.......... presevernce..... that IS the name of this game.

Thanks guys :) Well the amount of weight is somewhat embarassing but I know it will go up...we all have to start somewhere. :). No pics yet Lee. And I agree, it's all about peristance and hard work :).

Way to go buddy...
I remember when I thought it would be great to be able to push 135... then 225.... Now I'm drooling over 315 so badly i can taste it... Too bad i don't flat bench anymore...

Congratulations and keep on trucking... 135 is just around the corner...

The weight isn't embarrassing, what is embarassing is if you stop, Keep it going cause you gonna be throwing the weight on like nothing if you keep training smart:)

good job bro. Now when you're pusing some "heavy ass weights," you can bump this thread up to the top as a reminder that everyone starts somewhere.

Great job. We all have to start somwhere. I know I couldn't bench 95lbs the first time I went to the gym. 13 years later I am aiming at 500. Just be patient and keep working hard.

Cheers,
Scotsman
