I reluctantly drag out $2, and hand it over (I say relucantly, because I don't want to be an enabler his joblessness and to his probable crack addiction, besides, I'm an ass).

He then asks me if I have $5, because two isn't enough to by him a decent sandwich!!

Last night this guy comes up to me trying to sell me one of those homeless newspapers, telling me how it's cold and he's homeless and shit. I stopped and looked him up and down. Motherfucker was dressed nicer than I was. I asked him how long he's been running his con and he smiled and walked away. I should've killed him.

I'd estimate at least half of the bums around my 'hood are just con-men. It's all pretty wealthy, naive college students around here, so I'm betting these guys make a killing.

they come and tell you that they forgot their wallet in some state and now they cant pay for gas and point at the car thats standing nearby him...

I've had that happen 4 times, the first time I fell for it but fuck no I'm not gonna let a fucker like that foool me twice.

other than that 80% of the time that you give money to them they arent even thankful and half of the time they ask for more like you said

that just happened to me. a chick walks up to me and says she needs $10 for gas for her car thats was right there in the parking lot. and all a sudden this 50year old gets in the car and drives away.


I started to say something but she was already walking away.

Were I not stuck with filling up a 22 gallon tank on my truck, I would have walked away. But since I was caught ( and for some stupid reason, in a good mood), I gave up the cash.

Since I have seen him around before, the next time he catches me, I'll remind him that I already gave.

That should last me until 2008.
