The first time they fought it went the distance. Pretty decent slugfest. They awarded the victory to Morales, which was a very controversial decision to say the least. Anybody who caught the fight could tell Barrera was robbed by the judges.

I won't make a prediction on this one as it looks to be a good even matchup. Lets just hope it turns out as good as the Gatti/Ward fight. That was classic.

Yea that's what I'm hoping. They said the two fights were comparable so hopefully this one will be too.

And i will add i think Barrera has gotten better since the Morales fight. Hes beaten the shit out his last couple opponents.

I havn't seen many Morales fights so i cant comment on his progress since they last met.

Decisions aren't supposed to be based on who is winning the last few rounds. They are supposed to be judged on who has the most points FROM BEGINNING TO END.

No way U4, did Morales win every round and you know it! Another important thing to remember is what you see and what the judges seee are two totally different things...the last two rounds are valuable and often predict the outcome of the fight plus some judges go by the amount of power punches landed rather then just any old pucnh thrown in there. Sorry U4 but the better man came out the winner that night. U4 I wouldn't mind seeing a 3rd fight from these two.....how about you?

I think there will be 3rd fight. I couldn't believe one of the judges score though. 116 to 112??? I thought the fight was closer than that. I agree though. Morales was the more active fighter but Barrera picked him apart. He was patient and knew what he was after. He didn't let his emotions get in the way of his mission. Good fight though

Going into it I wasn't for anyone, but started going for Morales since he obviously wanted a fight but Barrera kept running. My view wasn't skewed by this at all. Morales (should have) won on points. Barrera had the momentum at the end as well as the controversial decision from the first fight. Things like that make the judges award a close round that belongs to Morales to Barrera instead.

Yes, I definitely want to see a third fight. Hopefully there will be a knockout or at least knockdown, so it's more decisive.
