Barbecue, Is it worth...

I`m running a gas line for my boiler now. I`m also going to run an line out to my soon to be location of a barbecue grill. Does anyone have a line for that? I`ve heard of people doing it and it`s so easy to run I might as well. I LOVE convenience, and I`m VERY lazy.

I have`nt purchased the BBQ grill yet, but pretty much know where it`s going. This way I don`t have to buy those propane tanks and refill them. The gas will NEVER run out in the middle of cooking etc.

BTW I got my eye on those 7-$800 Costco deals. They`re on sale now for that price. Should be good, right? I am clueless about this stuff. I have no idea what to look for.

isn't that kinda dangerous?

You just stub out a 3/8 inch pipe about 1 or 2 inches out the exterior wall and connect a flex hose THAT COME WITH ALOT OF GRILLS. For that purpose. You just have to put a valve on the inside of the house before it goes through the outside wall. I did that as well.

You can turn the valve on at BBQ season and shut it off after the saeson ends. EVEN if you forget it on, It`s not like anything will happen. It`s just a precautionary measure.

Maybe you`re thinking of the Grill being deep in the backyard. Mine is touching the back of my house. Right on the (future) deck to my kitchen.

get some brick / masonry of yoru choice, buy the shell at a bbq specialty store and go to town making your own. It's really not that $$$ or difficult. Custom bbq setups always look cool too.

Not into that look. I know what you`re saying though.

I gotta small house and trying to keep it as streamlined as possible. Also it`s right next to siding. It won`t look right.

Any suggestions on the Grill itself? Anybody familiar with the Costco "Stainless steel" one $7-800?
