back muscle spasms, for no reason?

Crap man......I go to bed Wednesday and I'm fine.
Thursday I get up and have a REALLY tight spot just right of my spine. It was impossible to get comfortable the last hour of sleep that morning, and twisting movements seems to "spike" if ya know what I mean. Took a muscle relaxer Thursday night and Friday morning was almost back to normal, just sore at that muscle point.

THEN Saturday it would kick in off and on and once got so tight, it felt like it was pulling on other side of my spine. 2 Skelaxin (muscle relaxers), a Darvocet and long stints on a heating pad Saturday and Sunday made this morning OK.

Now its sore from the spasming and I'm going to take off a week from the weights, just to make sure it doesn't trigger again.
When it was bad the pain was crippling and I really don't want that again, because there is absolutly no comfortable way to lay down.

Anyone else have this problem before?
Point is, this forced time off sucks and it wasn't even an injury related to anything I did (unless I did it in my sleep)!
It kinda bugs me because I dont know what caused it.

Would've thought my multi would prevent that.....you're right though, my banana intake stopped during my ckd that ended May 1st.

Didnt think one week of heavy would cause that. I'll have to apologize to my body for shocking it in a potassium deficient state.:D

Thanks man.

I went through the same thing when I started CKD :)...

I agree, similar thing happened to me when I started dieting.
Only for me it was my abs.
I'm shopping, talking to a store clerk and my abs suddenly LOCK solid for the next 10 minutes.
It happened a couple of times before I started taking supplemental potassium, and that stopped it cold.
