Back from mexico

I just got back from my honeymoon and one of the stops was in cozumel. While I was there, I checked a few farmacias and the prices were outrageous. The sust redi-jects were $5 more each than what I have paid in the past. I know that the prices were probably higher because cozumel is such a tourist town, but I would have expected to find stuff cheaper than what I can get it for here. I also got searched by customs on the way back in. Glad I wasn't trying to bring anything back.

How in depth was the search?

has anyone ever gotten searched walking back across a border?

If so how did they search you?

Just curious?

I have been extremely lucky walking, and never been searched...Though I have friends who have and they pat you down everywhere...Don't think storing gear in your crotch is going to get it across...

I have been very lucky in my south of the border excursions. I have and never will drive across with gear. I always walk across. You must be extremely creative in your stashing methods. I have walked through metal detectors but have never been physically searched. I have brought gear across since 9/11 and security is heightened. At this stage in my life however, the risk is no longer worth it to me. It is still tempting though as the prices are sooo damn cheap! If only we could teleport across...lol...:teleport:

i think sometimes really simple ideas can get things across customs. if you purchase orals, simply put them in a vitamin/aspirin container, especially if the tabs are unmarked. this would have worked perfectly for me in both my mexican vacations. i brought bigass containers of ibuprofen and the pink stuff and no one said shit or even bothered looking at them. do you think some random jose chavez is gonna know those tabs aren't what's listed on the bottle? i don't think so!

i live in san diego and got caught buying xanax without a prescription. the customs officer asked what my purpose was for going to mexico and i lied. he felt my pockets and made me show him what was in there.

it was a scary experience. they pull you aside to a table and look up the drug you purchased. i was lucky that they let me go after keeping me there after an hour of just standing and worrying.

they seized the xanax which i had just paid $60. had it been AAS (this was before i started using) or a narcotic i would have been in a lot more trouble.

things have gotten much tighter since 9/11. you gotta be crazy trying to sneak AAS across the border. just use a mail order service. if you have a prescription, you CAN buy drugs in mexico and bring to the US.

in the past two years i've gone to mexico three times all by air. Every time customs just sent me right through without doing anything. Kinda pisses me off since i didn't have anything :) seems like a waste

I've always been very lucky crossing the border on foot. I have made several trips post 9/11. Although the security is heightened, the sheer volume of foot/bike traffic crossing into TJ is just too much to keep up with. As stated earlier in this thread, you just need to be creative.

jejeje same here dude i been in Cozumel 6 Months Ago by Honeymoon In Carnival Cruise, Listen Pharmacies in Cozumel Sucks they don´t have enough products and the cost is too expensive!!!

Sheet! Mexico is a ripoff, the time, the travel, the bunk stuff. It is so much cheaper to go through normal business practices i.e. invest in the advice that several discussion boards offer. I once made trips all the time to encida south of TJ, but now its easier than ordering pizza and far cheaper. Just gotta hang around the boards. Shit a friend of mine can get gear next day air, thats cheaper than the gas money even if I lived in San Diego and I dont, not to mention the risk of arrest, substantially lower if you know what youre doing.

Please drank a coupla coronas so dont ask for sources just a lil demonstrative right now!!

i walked thru customs last summer with 2 bottles of 10mg ttokkyo stanol v tabs in the sides of my cargo shorts and i breezed thru, probably helped that i was w/my girl and had been in mx for a wk so i was pretty tan and looked like i just got done w/my honeymoon

Your alls stories are just incredible, some of the unnecessary risks some of us take to get bigger. It makes more sense to me to just make AAS available easier but to have to take it under doctor supervision, but that just doesn't seem plausible now does it? taking something to make you more physically fit, while simutaneously not drinking or doing any drugs living the bodybuilding lifestyle. But thats my two words... I read somewhere about the Corona Bottle scheme and it seemed pretty interesting to me, the only thing I wondered about was color

So knowone suggests driving across with gear? There are a lot of excellent hiding places in a car and since gear cant be sniffed out it seems like the safe way to go?

true lucias. not only is it too risky going thru the border it is a huge pain going down there. driving down to san ysidro (the southernmost city in san diego), finding a parking space, taking the long walk across the border to the farmacias thru disgusting and sewage smelling tijuana, the beggars, the crowds, and the endless lines (with all the mexicans nationals) thru customs to enter the US. an AWFUL experience.

about 8 years ago, when i was living in so cal, i did a few t.j runs.
anyhow, the last one i did the officer sensed i was nervous and asked me to step aside. he asked if i brought anything and i said no.

he then searched me and found a shitload of stuff in my pockets and taped to my legs.

luckily, they only confiscated the gear and let me go.

Trust me on this one, bro... you are NOT going to find a place in your car that customs won't examin on a secondary search. They are not stupid. They've been in the game longer than you and they do it every day. Every pro runner who gets sent to secondary search knows that he is going to jail even before they find his stash.

There AREN'T that many places in a car to hide juice. The places you can find and think of are been-there-done-that to customs. They take apart car doors, unscrew panels, check your spare tire, etc...

If you get searched - you will get nailed.
