that found themselves crawling into my driveway and after talking to a wildlife peep figured out theyve got no mama anymore, she didn't show up for em after 3 hrs..and we all got sick of taking turns watching for the hawks that were waiting for us to get far enough away to have a snack

waiting on wildlife rehabilitators to come get em over the weekend (I hope)

I live in a squirrel infested neighborhood, but I've never seen a baby one or even an adolescent, they're all the same size. Do they stay in the nest until they get big?

Feed them to your cat.

do they carry disease from birth??? i always heard squirrels and birds carry some sorta plague.

i remember a baby bird (maybe a day or 2 old) fell out of it's nest. i tried to put it back and the mom bird wouldn't come back to it. i called the humane society and the lady sounded concerned and sent someone over. the dude put it in a metal canister. i thought he was going to take it back with him. but, as he was walking away he was shaking the shit out of the can. i was like wtf dude. he just shrugged his shoulders and said it would have died anyways.

Oh, wow...they are super cute. I had a storm back in like 200 during the spring and a tree came down. the mother was killed and only one baby survived. I kept him as a pet of sorts. He had a house out in my yard I built that he could free roam but he would come and take food from my hand and sit on the porch next to me, etc.
