B5 and Zinc works for me, and if you go to any acne forum you will see it has worked for countless others. Some people need as much as 10 grams a day for it to work. Probably best to cycle it though as it will give you a deficiency in other B-vitamins. A B-complex would be helpful while taking it too.
It hasnt done anything for me. I think scrubbing your body and showering a lot works best. There is always Accutane, but I wouldnt advise it unless the acne is horrendous.
ALA has done more for me at 3-4g/day dosages than b-5, but there are also other factors involved so I suppose I shouldnt say conclusively the ALA is better. I will be using both on my upcoming cycle.
i've noticed that i do breakout jsut a bit more on my test/eq cycle, but not that bad. maybe when i have some extra cash flow i'll buy this stuff and try um out
Haha rippedtrojan ya I gave it one last breath of life. I went out this morning and picked up a 250 500mg bottle of this stuff so I'll give it a try and keep you guys updated. Damn I hate this clomid acne!
----------------------------------
I've used it for a couple of months, started at 2g and went up to 10g/day... didn't do shit for my acne. I may or may not work for you, just like ala clears some ppl's acne (not my case).
I'm on low-dose suppressive accutane treatment, works like a charm, zero side-effects at 20mg/day.
In the study they did, it worked for everyone eventually (100 people out of 100), but that was a six month study, and they went as high as 20g/day.
Do 10g/day for a month, then 2g/day as maintenance after that. You can take up to 25g/day with no worries. No toxic effects have ever been reported in humans at ANY dosage, even with doses as high as 50g. You can get a little diarrhea at 10g+.
BTW... other B vitamins can actually make you break out! If you take in extra B-12, it depletes more B-5 from your body because of the processes they are both used in. A couple studies have shown taking b12 can make you break out.
