Bird Island just west of Ft Myer lots are going for $3500-7500 you can pay more, but these are building sites, or put a modular home on it..
houses for sale in the area.. very affordable, and no, it's not the slums or getto..
and there is no public transportation..

Have you guys been down town in the motor city??? It's a sight to see. Nothing like riding by public housing high rises that have all the windows open in the hopes that the weather will finish the buildings off. Block after block of waste land in places.
