I read this study and your (Mr. X) article and want to give it a shot. My question is this: has anyone had positive experience with this cycle bulking method?

It goes slightly contrary to logic since the recovery days, where digestion would be most efficient, calories are too low to build tissue.

But the results of the study make me very curious...

I know quiet a few people that have had success, but, again, it all depends on the person.

We now have a simple cycle-bulking program, where we go from BMR+60% then a drastic lowering to BMR-20%, which will improve muscle gains and decrease the amount of fat-storage from your mass diet.


What does that mean? I'm a newbie :(
60% of max then lower to 20% max? So you start heavy weight then decrease it?
How many sets, reps?

I think i'm gonna try this, sounds interesting. Does it work if you arent ons teroids--notice a lot of AS ads, lol.
 
Hi Mr X, I am 135 pounds and trying to put on weight. Have you got any tips for me ? I currently eat 180-200g of protein a day carbs vary and I try to keep my calories above 2500 a day. Good article on the bulking cycle, but I had a question about the protein. I am a 200 pounder, and 400grams seems like a hell of a lot of protein to be consuming..... I barely get 300 right now, and I find myself eating all of the time, and supplement heavily on myoplex. How do you suggest consuming such a high balance of protein?

Has anyone tried this and gotten results that they care to post? I want to try this but i am a hardgainer and have a real hard time putting on the muscle i have and dont want to loose any by restricting cals but also feel like i'm gaining a little fat but still w ant to bulk...
