Atlas Shrugged Released

When i was younger I lapped that stuff up. not so much the movies, but the books...danielle steel, sandra brown, nora roberts....I haven't thrown any of those books away, but I sure do hide them now. Not sure why they are so distasteful to me now...maybe the repetitiveness of the love story where everyone always lives happily ever after got boring? It's not like I don't read plenty of unrealistic stuff, but I think the difference is those (romance/chick lit) types of books are fantasy dressed in reality's clothes haha. Just googled Emily Griffin...looks like her first books were long past my moving on from chick lit.

Btw, don't get me wrong, I still have my guilty pleasures reading...that's just not the drug of choice anymore haha

lol because life/love does not work that way prbly. :(

Cindy, probably....I just can't wrap my head around the neat little "Boy meets girl, they hit a crisis, then everything magically falls into place and everything is perfect" package.

I suspect that I frustrate Cindy on some level almost daily but we're individuals with our own expectations, desires and needs.

While I was having coffee this morning I saw a trailer of Something Borrowed...it has fucking Kate Hudson in it. Kate Hudson. I hate Kate Hudson. I never had a chick-lit phase. Just those Emily Griffin books sometime in 2008/9

Advice - read the abridged version.

I got to page 748 about 7 years ago and never finished, I got the idea though. I am disappointed they made it into a modern day setting. I think it would have been much better set in that time.

By the way I really loved the first half or so of that book, then it gets REALLY weird. I mean it was interesting the direction it took, but it goes into a fantasy world. It's worth reading just so you know about it.
