I would recommend that everyone read the book any movie is based upon before watching it.... based on the premise that the book is always better and I'm sure this will be a perfect example.

I don't think it will matter. It's been a few years since I read the book but it doesn't look like the movie follows it too closely.

It's a limited release. One theater has it here but the times weren't good for me today so perhaps I'll catch it this week.
