I would recommend that everyone read the book any movie is based upon before watching it.... based on the premise that the book is always better and I'm sure this will be a perfect example.Interesting

I'm gonna go see it.
I've bought the book, but never gotten around to reading it.
For the record I found the book to be overbearing but it had it's intrigue....my idealogical clashes with rand didn't prevent me from getting something out of it. But I do think it's kind of amusing that a movie based on a book that well known and highly regarded is such complete shit lol.
I remember when it was first being talked about there was some hoopla about a big name actress in the role. LOL at what actually came of this production.
Yeah, it was her....that's who I was thinking of originally, but I wasn't sure.
On rottentomatoes it has an 8% rating....pretty damn low for, again, something based on a book that highly read. That's Saw 3d territory lol
One review compared it to battlefield earth....ouch
lol...I just looked it up...YIKES
I'll ruin this thread with chick flicks and chick-lit:
Have you read any of the chick-lit books from Emily Griffin? They are soooo a guilty pleasure for me...and I normally hate chick-lit...but Something Borrowed is coming out..I'll probably see that.![]()
I don't do that genre anymore....I used to for a little while...now I can't stand it haha. Same with romantic comedies....I have to be convinced to watch those (and sometimes I even like them, but getting to the point of watching has to be a perfect storm of someone pushing me to do it, opportunity, and lack of better options right that moment).
I am the exact same way...I'll only watch a comedy if it is super dirty. LOL. I barely read fiction as it is...but I really like the stories she writes. I thought maybe you had read one of them....
When i was younger I lapped that stuff up. not so much the movies, but the books...danielle steel, sandra brown, nora roberts....I haven't thrown any of those books away, but I sure do hide them now. Not sure why they are so distasteful to me now...maybe the repetitiveness of the love story where everyone always lives happily ever after got boring? It's not like I don't read plenty of unrealistic stuff, but I think the difference is those (romance/chick lit) types of books are fantasy dressed in reality's clothes haha. Just googled Emily Griffin...looks like her first books were long past my moving on from chick lit.
Btw, don't get me wrong, I still have my guilty pleasures reading...that's just not the drug of choice anymore haha
Cindy, probably....I just can't wrap my head around the neat little "Boy meets girl, they hit a crisis, then everything magically falls into place and everything is perfect" package.

I suspect that I frustrate Cindy on some level almost daily but we're individuals with our own expectations, desires and needs.
i thought it was because you're a jackass with an action figure collection
I think it's mostly about the lack of my adhering to a strict schedule...she hates that.....I endeavor to be more consistent with our interactions.
