atkins or ketonoc diet first time use....

weight 280 ht 6` goal to be 230

i have been on the diet for a week now i have not eaten no starches. But iam still drinking some fruit juices.Last night i think i cheated i had about 4 tablespoons of butter and i washed it down with milk low fat.The funny thing is that i havn`t lose any weight as yet but i havn`t gained any eather.Iam eating alot of egg and sausages and vegetables. I can`t beleive i havn`t eaten bread for a week....I never beleive in this diet but iam giving it a try since reading crumcake posts iam going to try it for 2 months ... Iam i on the right track
 
well bro if you trying to do a keto type diet, stop drinking fruit juices, milk, and limit the vegtables.

give us a break down of the diet.

Just one sip of a fruit juice will kill this diet... keep in mind that the atkins is NO CHEAT diet... you can not cheat and then easily get back into it because you exit the state of ketosis and it takes time to get back in
 
Low fat milk is probably the worst milk you can be drinking.

Stop drinking milk.
Stop drinking fruit juices. They've got more sugar than real fruit.
If its not a fiberous green vegtable, then don't eat it.

Your not doing anything close to the Atkins diet ;)

The first 2 weeks drink nothing but water, and lots of it. Stick to 20 grams of carbs a day. Don't drink tea, caffinated or not, don't drink coffee, don't drink crystal light. Don't eat or drink anything that you might forget to count the total carbohydrate amount in your daily totals.

I lost 20lbs my first 2 weeks on Atkins. The more you have to lose, the faster it goes to being with. (Granted a lot of this was water weight, either way, its weight that needs to go)
