Asylum Numbers

Those are great numbers for the Asylum crew. I think I may try some reverse bands with the greens on Wednesday. I have a strained oblique so I'll have to see how it feels. I'll let you know how it goes...

Looks like that #2 spot is gonna be Project's pretty soon...;)

I hope you're right. I would expect a man that weighs more than me to out-perform me.

Just razzing you a bit...very impressive for all 4 of ya'all. Glad to see the crew putting up good numbers.

I'm only 5'9'', and I don't feel like the bands were tight enough. We should've used blue. There was VERY little band assistance there at all, even at the bottom, and I would say MOST of it was our own to lock-out.

Do you know how much weight it took to touch the floor?

When I used the greens from the highest I ould set my pins, it took 95 lbs for a plate to be touching the ground. I hit 475 this way.

When I set it up lower and used the greens and lights, it took 135 to touch the ground, but had no assistance the last 4" or so. I hit 455 like this and got 495 just above the knees and stalled.

I think I lke the second way better because it hits the lockout harder.

Does your setup have any tension taken off at the top?? I did them from the top of the rack the first 2 times, but have since done them from the pins of the power rack(set to my height 5'7") and this makes it so the bands don't help the last 4" or so. Nails the lockout!!

Although I guess that happens with Hannibal anyway since he is much taller.

Yep the set up was so that it let off at the top...so that it was entirely our lockout. The greens dont help that much...but it does change the dynamic of the lift. And you are right...I got less help than the others because of my height. The blues obviously help more. We are going to do the greens next week. Then the next time we get around to Rev Band Dlift we will use Blues....set different records with the different bands.

This is how we set it up. Put the pin through the rack at about 5'6"...and choked the green band. The bands are old so it probably took a little less than 135 to touch the floor....but the bands let go completely for the lockout.

I see.

Yea, your setup probably had much less resistance because I was using the green and purple bands for that setup. The blues should be fun. Let us know how that goes.....whenever you get around to em.
