Asshole's injury

I was doing chin-ups when I wanted to "try something"

At my 3rd rep, while I was on top position I take one of my hand off the barbell, in order to try to go down with just the other arm

But, and I didn't expect it, I rotated, lost my balance and I hurt myself (the triceps mainly)

It was not very painful, still....

and since I'm not just half an asshole, I didn't stop and keep on doing my back workout (though no more chin-ups)

As one could expect, today (I did this silly exercice yesterday) it still hurts

What can I do now ?

What should I have done when it happened ?
 
Is there any swelling or bruising?

It might just be a strain, try ice/heat, and take an anti-inflamatory for it. Oh yeah, and rest.

anti-inflamatory :

COX-1 selective like ketoprofen
non-selective like ibuprofen
or selective COX-2 inhibitors (don't have any) ?

:worried: Can I rely on how I feel ?
ie as soon as I don't feel much pain it's time to go back on track ?
 
I think rest even when you don't feel the pain, I can't give you an time to rest but just rest, sometimes if pain is not present the injury still can be their and from an early recovery it may need more time.
