Ask yourself, what would you do?

You and a person you love deeply are placed in seperate rooms with a button next to each of you.
You know that you will both be killed unless one of you presses your button before 60 minutes pass; furthermore, the first to press the button will save the other person, but will immediately be killed.

What do you think you would do?

Can we hear each other and discuss strategy?

I think it's also important to note that if I chose to kill myself to save the other person, there are probably selfish reasons somewhere in my motivation (i.e. I don't want to live with the guilt, pain of being alone, etc)

Me and my wife? I wouldn't hesitate to push that shit! Me and my friends? Well, lets just say that MOST of the time would be out before anything happened LOL!

is the door locked? cause i'd get up and leave.

Well... just because I deeply love the other person.... does that mean they deeply love me?

I would immediately push it before she did b/c I know she would for me and I would not want that

In all truthfulness I would prolly push the button because i am a sucker. however the poetic answer would be "find a way to talk through they wall for 59 mins and 50 secs or so and then push the button.

However... if you are both being killed if no one pushes the button then it would truly love and I would gamble on that.

I would call in one of the guards, distract him with my superior intellect, unburden him of the AK-47 slung over his shoulder, bust a cap in everyone's ass in the whole place, kick down the other door and scream "GET IN DE CHOPPA NOW!!!!!!!" :strider36

But, that's just me. I'm a bit of an action hero. . .when I'm not chopping my way through the tangled undergrowth of US Code, Title 26. :)

i'll save my love one. End of story!

id trick her into pushin the button by tellin her lets push it at the same time baby , that way maybe it will trick the system , and then she would take herself out and i would be chillin again

it depends

who has the most potential in life?

Like if I'm an engineer (which I sort of am) and she's a lazy stay at home wife or just has some part time retail job (and doesn't go to or plan to go to school or anything), then my life has the most meaning and most potential so I'd try to convince her to press the button.

Is it a stalemate if they push it at the same time? I'm all about loop holes and poopholes.

lol nice

I'd talk my loved one into discussing who should live and who should die. While they fell for that bullshit, I'd press the button.

bwhahahahaha funniest post tonight.

and, as a counter to saint's point, if you deeply love the other person, it may not matter to you whether or not she loves you back. a shame if so, but the idea of a love that needs nothing in return is nice.
