Ashton Kutcher

They had considered John Stamos, at least he can continue the middle aged man hitting on slutz vibe, but Kutcher? please...
 
guess we will learn how important to the show he was. gonna put his insanity/ego thru the roof when the show flops without him and justifies his demands
 
That dumb pretty kid from That 70's Show is replacing Emilio's brother on that show with Ducky and the fat baby boy!
 
This is a risky move on Warner Brothers' part; Charlie had a clause in his contract that said he'd be paid his full salary if the show were to continue to be made without him. WB maintains that entire contract is null and void, but if a judge disagrees when the lawsuit comes up to trial, WB will owe Charlie this season's full salary (1.25mil per episode + profit sharing bonus)on top of whatever portion of the current 100mil lawsuit he's awarded.
 
I don't think it will be worth it. Charlie was never super funny as I laugh more at the kids stupidity than Charlies. However I do think that he is what made the show....It is going to suck with Ashton.

maybe charlie is funnier from a guys perspective, at least for me ive always dreamed of doing nothing but lounging around and sleeping with 21 year olds every day, driving mercedes and living the life in general. i thought he was hilarious
 
this makes no sense at all...absolutely ridiculous
 
i only give a shit about mike & mike...they have to stay together or be cancelled...otherwise? replace away...i couldn't give two shits. :whatever:
 
People said Charlie Sheen was gonna tank and bring down Spin City after Michael J Fox left and yet he made it his own and the show went on successfully, maybe same will happen here, but ratings will probably shift since viewers will now mostly be female as opposed to before that was probably more male oriented.... ho knows... :whatever:
I dislike Ashton Kutcher, he's like Christina Applegate, cant shake the "you're a fucking idiot even in real life" vibe

charlie isn't special at all, and he was horrible on spin city. i don't really see how ashton will fit into charlie's role on the show, but he is talented and i'm sure the writers will find a way to make it good with him
 
I didn't read the rest of the thread, just wanted to add I love 2 1/2 men but I also really like Uncle Jessie. I'm in for Stamos.

If they had re-cast Charlie Harper, Stamos MIGHT have been able to keep the show reasonably successful (it won't stay #1 without Charlie Sheen no matter who they get). It would have been a better choice than Kutcher in an entirely new role IMO.
 
Can someone please remind me when the last time Ashton Kucher did anything funny..
 
The should have cast Joe Rogan as the next Charlie for 2 1/2 Men.
 
I really hated That 70s Show but I'd be lying if I said I hated Kutcher, I think he's actually made some entertaining movies. Sue me, I liked the Dude, Where's my Car, Butterfly Effect and The Guardian :whatever:

I'm wondering if they're not going to insert Kutcher as an entirely new character, y'know, eliminate Charlie's character from the show entirely (kill him maybe, have Allan inherit the house, have Kutcher be the freeloader, yet constantly scoring the poon, while Allan fumes that its his house, he should be getting the young girls?)

The show's going to get HUGE ratings the first episode, who knows what will happen.

I think some of his movies are good despite him not thanks to him
 
I don't foresee my life changing appreciably with either Sheen or Kutcher on that sitcom

Hell, you could say that about nearly half of the Hollywood Top Draws, honestly. There's a LOT of actors who are successful because they're attractive and had a terrific script dropped into their lap. They just have to show up, act like themselves and read lines ... and some of them, say Kevin Kostner and Keanu Reeves, don't even need to put a whole lot of emotion into those readings.

Naw, they'll do a quality life years calculation on him and decide people his age aren't worth the expense. I'm guessing the plug will be pulled well before the starts crapping on himself.
