arm / bipcep area twitching:

Recently, I've noticed that my left arm more so then my right has a twitch to it. Basically, My arm around the bicep area feels the need to flex and it relieves the pressure. I find that using icy hot or similar relieves the need to twitch but it has been like that for over a month or two now. I have no pain or discomfort just not sure if I tweaked my arm. I have never strained any of my muscles or has any muscle injuries in my upper body.

If anyone has any idea or whether or not I should get this checked out let me know.

Try upping your intake of minerals such as potassium or calcium. Also, try drinking more H2O. Many times that is the fix, or take a look at how much caffeine you are taking in, drop it some and see how you react.

This happened to me quite a bit when I was overtraining. My right bicep would twitch like crazy at random times. Overall its not dangerous, but I would try and extra day of rest + drink H2O + eat some bananas for potassium.

Okay thanks a lot I will try to up my intake of water and potassium although I eat a lot of yogurt and my protein powder has potassium as well so I thought I was good. It might have to do with my water intake.

I never drink any caffeinated beverages I think I've have one or two sodas in the past three years and about as many coffees so that shouldn't have anything to do with it.

I have this same problem with my calves and don't even train them, except for biking alot for cardio (already 19" naturally), I have tried increased water (up to 2 gallons a day), potassium, taurine, magnesium, calcium and nothing has helped. I've just learned to deal with it.
