Argh! Too many polls!

I refreshed my browser this morning and found no less than 17 old polls bumped overnight. The main thing that gets my goat is that polls seem to get bumped whenever someone votes in them, even if they don't post a message. I don't mind reading new posts, but most of the time there's nothing new to read, so we end up with the current situation - there's no way I'm going to even look at any of the polls because I can't tell if there's been a new post. They're just clogging up the system.

Does anybody else think that polls should only be bumped if someone posts a message in them?

(I just couldn't bring myself to make this another poll, nor could I bring myself to bump G5.0's poll from last week ).

I don't know. This sort of tells me that the training section has come a long way. Most of these ridiculous polls are at least 2 years old. Some turd(s) is/are bumping them by voting, but by and large, the "meat" of the training section posters are ticked by 'em. That means the training section is a no-nonsense forum. Well, some nonsense. But mostly no nonsense.

I vaguely remember MC mentioning that this forum used to be crap but then people, like him I'd assume, started pushing more "training" stuff and the turds went to C&C land.

PB this forum was top notch when I first found it back in '03, but from the originals I think only Bfold is left. It was a very motivating place to read & post before the core of the forum left to Iron Trybe
