No one is truly ready for it. It comes at you like a ton of bricks even if it's planned to a tee.

It's not really about being ready.

It's about knowing that you have the willingness to make it work and see it through no matter what being that you can't possibly predict what could happen.

Which that could be said for any kind of committment a person could make.

But this thread was really for fun and not a serious discussion.

Oh dear God no.

I have to tell you though I do like shopping for kids though - I did some crazy shopping for a baby shower recently and I kinda went overboard.

So I guess I have grandmother gene - just not the mommie one.
