I havent ever fight or trained with someone who is experienced in Muay Thai. I havent yet studied it either, so I'm not even sure what the style is like. If I fought anyone who relied on kicks, regardless of style, they'd better hope they land a good shot in the first few seconds. If they didnt and I got close enough to grab them...bye bye.

Most people who rely on distance to win fights are often very surprised when you close that gap quickly and make it a grappling and/or power based fight. And I know some 160lb guy isnt going to have an easy time throwing me like I probably will with them.

Can you someone give me a quick explaination of the Muay thai fighting style and techniques?

Not sure what the place is called off hand bro. I'll found out. I would go there but I'm sure your going to get alot of dick heads that think there Tito's in the making. I'd rather go to a smaller gym. However I've never been inside or talked to anyone from there so I can't really talk shit.

Well I'm officially gonna be a pussy as of Monday :)

Muay Thai Academy in North Hollywood :D

Any tips on strengthening my pathetically sensitive tibialis (I know how to build calluses, it's the muscle protecting my meager tibia I'm worried about) and my forearm muscles?

This is exactly where Muay Thai is so much superior than other striking arts. If you come close, Muay Thai Fighters will Clinch and hit you with so many elbows and kness that you would wanna get away from them. You can grab as hard as you want but when you crushing elbows coming on your temple and knees digging in you thighs. You won't grab a good Thai Boxer unless, he wants to be grabbed. He will move in range, Throw hard and fast punch, kick, elbow, knees combination and move out of your range. By the time you figure his game out. You would be bloodied if you're still awake. Muay thai is multiple range striking style. Long, mid and short and the guys that are well trained at it are the worst fuckers to ever get in to a street fight with.

I usea rolling pin and roll it up and down my shin for 20min or so a couple times a week. I am ghetting used to it but I was bleeding for awhile. It hurts but it definately works...
