Do we really need moderator intervention every time a user changes their mind about a post? Why can't we delete our own posts anymore?

I think that it works like the old system, if you delete your post and it's the first one, it deletes the entire thread.

It's just kind of frustrating trying to figure out all the myriad work-arounds in here, for things that work normally ON EVERY OTHER BOARD ON THE NET, when even the moderators can't or won't tell us how to work the board or why things are the way they are.

I've been pretty curious myself. I've had to try to figure out something else to say in posts where I have changed my mind about posting. Deleting just isn't an option any more I assumed.
