It seems tat men on this board are answering the same as on the other board, intelligence is a huge turn on.

My argument was that women, in general, will not date down economically. So if you have a woman who is making 90K a year, she will look for a man making at least as much, if not more, plus all the other qualities(looks, status, etc). SO as a woman gains status and wealth, the mating pool becomes more depleted. If a 100k a year woman was willing to date a man who made 50k a year, but fulfilled all her other needs, I don't think it would be as much a problem.
Men do not, again in general, place as much value on material possesions and status that women do. Men will "date down" ( i hate that term) to find an attractive mate.
I thought the article was veiled male-bashing, and had no scientific merit. Loved how they placed the blame on men.

As far as economics go, I know several women who date men that make less than them. You can't generalize when it comes to emotions.
