Who thinks anabolic steroids are addictive? I know they are for me and
I'm just going to flat out fucking admit it. they make me feel good and I don't give a fuck what anybody thinks. I think they're more mentally addictive
than anything.

Agreed and IMHO the psychological sides are very much overlooked

Exactly. and also its aperson to person thing. I was on Oxycontin and percs for 8 weeks after my quad tendon tear and I just stopped cold. I was a dick for four days and that was that. Others would have been hooked.

Quad

I dont think so
Ive been clean sinceEarly April
I only juice when I need to for a show or a photo shoot.
it is mearly a means to an end.

Hell no, i've been using them for 15 years and never got addicted....lol

I am addicted to gear and body building,

I think if you said I could not go to the gym, or rather I could not work out,

I might, get off gear, don’t know,

It’s Sunday morning, just waiting for my wife to go to Church,

And I will then receive the morning sacraments,

Physical addiction consists of a physical dependence on the drug. I think to a sense, this can also be applied to AAS. Do you not have withdrawl symptoms when you discontinue the drug? Sure you do. Some people get to the point where they cannot produce their own levels of exogenous hormones and need to be on hrt for the rest of their lives because of AAS use. Is this physical dependence? Of course it it. Now granted one will not die while discontinuing the drug, which is classically associated with a physical dependence, but I don't think it's black and white to say that it's not physically addicting. I think there's more grey area with AAS.

"Some within the medical community maintain a rigid definition of addiction and contend that the term is only applicable to a process of escalating drug or alcohol use as a result of repeated exposure. However, addiction is often applied to compulsive behaviors other than drug use, such as overeating, sex or gambling."

By that definition it just depends how you see addiction. If you believe you can be addicted to food, then you can be addicted to AAS. Thats not how I see it though.

Yea they are right up there with a good rib eye and beer. They make me feel good and I don't give a fuck what people think but I'm going to do them as much as I can.

Said i was only gonna do one cycle. Currently on third and planning my fourth. 3rd one since march.

Now, i just feel like im wasting time or not getting a complete workout when im at the gym and not on gear. It sucks, im hoping after #4 ill take atleast a year off.

I feel ya Bro!
I was first planning on doing an 8 week cycle then changed to a 12 week, then 16 weeks and finally ended up going with a 20 weeker...Which is the longest cycle I've ever done, I'm in week 19 right now and I'm contemplating extending even longer but I'm not....not for now at least...hehehe ...we'll see tommorrow!!!!!

I also said I was only going to 1 cycle and have done many since then. I'm sure alot of
us are in the same boat.
Why else do we use them? to get bigger, stronger , more defined, feel better
at the gym, and to try and push our bodys past our "natural" limits to how much muscle we can gain . Every aspect of that TO ME is addictive. don't you think?

Definantly can be, but for me I could stop permanently if there was a good enough reason to. I just find the benefits to outweigh the risks and that is why I use.
