Anyone walk to their gym?

My gym is 2.2 miles away and I want to start walking there and back. That's around 4-5 miles. Do you guys think its a good idea? I can also ride a bike there

whcih do you think is a better option. I work out 4 times a week and I'm tryin to cut down a little for the summer.
 
Walking would probably take a good 45 minutes each way. Do you have that much time to be able to do that?
 
when im in school i walk to the gym, sometimes skate....its about 15 minutes walking, 5-7 skating. i dont mind skating there
 
I used to have a fifteen minute walk to the gym which was enough to act as both a warm-up and warm-down. At a brisk pace you should be able to get your walk down to less than 30 minutes each way. That's a goodly amount of cardio to throw on top of your weights workout and I'd suggest walking some days and cycling others.
 
bad idea save the energy for the lifts and on the way back do what ya want as long as you make sure to get that protien in quick
 
do you like to jog? my gym is around 2 miles from my house also and when i use to jog it takes me about 20 minutes to get there...its great for shedding a few pounds in the summer
 
i road rage 5 minutes down the road then get jiggy wit it

I think 2.2 is nothing and a perfect warmup/cooldown...just drink your PW shake betfore walking back
