anyone use the same needle to draw and inject?

sometimes, mostly when using up my syringes are that needle installed, otherwise I always use 18g to draw (unless it's water based) and 23g or 25g to inject depending on spot and specific gear being used. It does make a diff as far as pain not to mention much more sterile.

wouldnt worry about the dullness as much as bacteria. the last thing you ever want is an infection in your bloodstream.
 
I used the same needle to load and inject only once. Hurt like a bitch; I will never do that again.
 
now you guys are talking about when you have to through a rubber stopper right? what about amps? you break the neck off and then suck it out with the pin? you shouldnt have to change the pin in this case correct?
 
It's faster to draw with a 20g and shoot with a 23g than it is to draw and shoot with a 23g.

I always change needle when drawing through a stopper, never change when drawing from an Amp.
 
Oh hell no first off dulls the pin second off it is not as sterile. If your going cough up the for gear why be so cheap about the pins?

Plus I draw with a harpon 17g shot with a 25g.

I have tried a few different ways but noticed no benefit pain wise to change sticks. I use a 23 gauge to draw with and shoot with. My gear is in vials so I go thru a rubber stopper but I clean the dart and the tops of the vials before drawing, and then shower and then clean the dart and my injection spot with alcohol again as well. Never had any infections.

Fuck that noise. Not only is that slightly less sterile if you don't wipe the stopper off, I've had it dull the hell out of a pin before and make the stick more painful.
 
Yes I have, at the beginning I was using these 22g vet needles that were attached so I had to. But after trying drawing with a 20 and shooting with a 25 I'll never go back
 
yes... i've re-used needles back in the day until they wouldn't even go through the skin!!!! Stupid!!!!!

You just gotta use. But it's like a 29g it won't hurt. If your really worried about it sanitary wise though you could use it to back fill another so you got a clean pin.
 
I always use the same pin to draw and shoot - it happens all the time at the hospitol - the docs never switch out pins - just keep everything clean.
 
Term has a good post from a while back about this. It includes a pic of a pin after it has been used 2 and 3 times (the shot is zoomed in 20 or 30x I think.) You can REALLY see how dull a pin gets after using it.

Hey Wayne---are you saying that you go thru a rubber stopper and clean the top.......then you hop in the shower, take a shower, then clean the dart and inject spot......


Holy shit bro.....Simply wipe the top of the rubber stopper with alcohol----DONT TOUCH THE PIN---put it directly into the stopper---shoot your air into it, turn it upside down, draw out what you want----Now tap your skin a few times and wipe with alcohol-----now stick that pin in there.......


thats it---very safe.....
 
I always draw and shoot with the same pin. The most painful was when I was drawing and the syringe slipped and hit the glass of the vial. I didn't really notice and when I went to inject I might as well of been sticking a ball point pen in my leg... the needle hitting the glass had bent the tip. :-( ouch
 
Definenly not. Even via an AMP, the needle just touches the bottom and it DOES lose its sharpness, this will start causing you problems over the years as you may be a big tough guy who doesnt need to swap needles as you can handle the pain, but can your internal muscle tissue handle extra damage from slightly blunt needles again and again over the years. Ask any quack, checmist or physician, weather you using an amp or drawing through a rubber stopper, change needles. i keep one just for drawing in its protective sheath and in the plastic it came in, then i put a new needle on every time. The touch guys out here my develop painful scar tissue quicker than us wimps! good luck whatever you do!

The only time I change needles is to use larger needles (21 or 20g) to withdraw, when I want to use a small needle for site injections (23g). I don't think that the dullness would make that much of a difference to me, but you should wipe off the rubber with a prep pad first to kill all the germs.

I never touch the pin with anything except with an alcohol swab. My procedure is as follows.

1) I get all my gear out and clean the tops of the vials, each gets its own alcohol pad to swipe with, and then the fresh needle gets an alcohol run down as well. I then let them both air dry for a minute or so, inject air into the vial and draw out what I need. Then I go take a good hot shower while my gear is sitting on my heating pad getting warm. Again, the needle is suspended in the air not touching anything. When I get out of the shower, I wipe the injection spot with 2 alcohol swabs in a circular motion from the middle of the injection spot outwards to move any possible contaminants outwards away from the injection spot. I then wipe the needle again with another alcohol swab, eliminate any air from the syringe and let about 1 drop of gear drip down to lube the needle. I then slowly inject the needle in a twisting motion to pierce the skin, aspirate, inject all the gear at a rate my body will accept it, then quickly pull out. I then wipe the area I just stuck with another alcohol swab and massage it and then sit on a heating pad for awhile. I put my sticks in a sharps container and will throw it all away when it is full. This procedure is what a good friend of mine (a nurse) told me is the best way to do a clean stick. She said that either not touching it at all or only wiping it with alcohol swaps in an upward motion towards the end of the stick is the safest way to do it. WHile a good needle manufacturer is safe 99% of the time, why not clean it to make sure? I trust her advice and it has worked for me. I realize this will seem like overkill to a lot of you but thats ok. I have learned from a good source how to be as clean as possible and after reading what an abcess might feel like, no thank you. It will also sound like it takes forever to stick, but it really doesn't take long at all anymore as I get faster and smoother about it as times goes on.
 
Always. I use 23g for draw and shoot. Never had any problems or pain. Throw it away always never reuse.

If you think your going to dull through a rubber stopper just sharpen with your sharpening stone then sterilize. Maybe try a grinder could possibly get that thing down to 25g without even changing over.
 
i draw and shoot with 20 g 1.5 in my legs or ass then i have to shoot again with 1 in 23 g in my shoulder syringes aren't big enough for everything but anyways still no infection

Me too. All the scraping around on the bottom of the amp seemed to make it pretty dull. Almost needed a hammer to pound the damn thing in. . .not good.

Yeah I know it makes me sound like a anal retentive freak, but it's just second nature now. I jsut do it and go. I want to be as clean as possible, better safe than sorry! :D

Why are you touching the needle at all? The needle is sterile... by cleaning it, you are taking a chance of actually making it unsterile. Also, this nurse friend sounds stupid. All those in the medical field I talked to said not to touch the needle. But if it hasn't hurt you yet... keep on going.

BTW, I always use a drawing needle. Usually 19 or 20 gauge. The needle I inject with gets the sheath removed seconds before injection.
 
I always draw and shoot with the same pin. If for some reason the needle has gotten dull, I can tell before it breaks the dermis, then I switch the pin. Look at needtogetas. He draws and shoots with a big ass pin. That crazy mofo. Really no big deal at all to draw and shoot with the same pin.
 
Let's not be too paranoid about having to "re-sterilize" the needle.

Hospitals and doctors just take it out of the package and stick ya. They do it millions of times a day. Why should we be more paranoid???

LOL... I just would not touch the needle. It is not necessary.... And it actually ups your chances of getting an infection.
 
I am not sure I buy all the posts about re-using. I have done this before in the past and I believe it soured an intire batch of Deca and gave me a should infection. Arm swollen up to twice its size, and not in a good way. Go to the drugstore but some more needles, not worth the chance!!! Not to mention, on the third or fourth use it is a major pain in the pass to get through the skin!!!

I don't think anyone would advocate reusing a needle after an injection. We are discussing changing out needles after drawing the juice. You should throw away every needle that you have used and never use it again. That goes for drawing and/or injection. Once you take it out of the pakage and expose it to air it is no longer sterile. Throw it away do not save it. That is not a good practice.
 
Yeah I am guilty of doing this.. but not all the time. Only when my pin stash is low and I haven't ordered up a new batch.

Not good practice, but I haven't had any problems doing it.
 
when using amps, if i get a clean break, i unscrew the needle tip n put the chamber up againist the amp opening, turn it upside down n suck it all in, then i put the needle bak on and inject

have been using my 500iu hcg's that way for a while now, makes drawing up and mixing much quicker n easier.
 
same pin to draw and inject never ha d a prob, tried changing out made no difference as long as u clean good you will be fine and it doe snot get that dull shit give me a break i mena yes it is not 100 % sharp but 96 % is close enough for me.

Right on.......did not even think it was necessary to change needle between drawing and injecting.

Maybe I will try it for the hell of it........does it really make that much of a difference.
 
Use to use the same needle but not anymore. I now use a 21 to draw and a 22 to inject. I tried a 23 but it doesn't seem to spread the juice well enough.
 
when changing the needle after drawing, do you purge it to remove any air? and do you lose any fluid because you are not purging back into the vial?
 
does the U.S.A. have different laws on purchasing needles? cuz when i'm about to run out I just go down the street to the medical supply store and buy a box for about 30 bux. that would suck to have to order them in. The girl at the counter even asked if i was using it for bodybuilding and recommended a different gauge for me. lol
 
You guys are making me seriously reconsider how I operate. I have always used the same needle for withdrawing and injecting and have even done multiple withdraws to combine so I only have one injection. I have never gotten an infection and just focus through the pain. After reading this, I realize that I have probably just been real lucky...so I am gonna start using separate needles now. Thanks!
 
ive always used the same pin to draw and inject, with no infection. as far as the pain, deal with it, my abs hurt worse after a workout then a little pinprick does....my motto...get big, get big, get big....:stick: just watchout when you pull the pin out, put a napkin or piece of toilet paper in the same hand your pulling out with, pull out and let the pin hit the floor, while immediately puttin the napkin over the injection site...dont let the blood spray everywhere, unless you like that kinda thing
