anyone taken a cruise?

So here is my situation: I'm in SD for the weekend and I'm layed up a bit because of surgery. There is a 4 day cruise to Mexico and I'm thinking about jumping on it. I've never cruised before and I would be by myself and kinda limping around. Good or bad idea?

If you are not going to be feeling 100% I wouldn't waste the money. Go when you can eat, drink and fuck yourself into oblivion because that is pretty much what you do anyway.

if you are booking late, see if you can get a free upgrade to a balcony.. nothing like it, and the only way i cruise now, the solitude if it gets to be too much for you, makes it seem like you are alone on the open sea..

Yeah here is my deal, the cash is no problem because I've been layed up for 2 weeks due to surgery so I'm in great shape right now. The questions I have are the fact I'm not moving around very good right now and I'll be by myself. Does that change anyones thoughts?

Also I really don't have anything else to do.

I'm in SD without any friends here. It would only be a quick 4 night cruise because I fly back to Japan on Wed.

It is Carnival Elation? Sound like just an average ship but the time frame seems to be right.
