Clinical/Reactive Depression. those thoughts fill my entire day. i've been dealing with this for 20+ years. i don't deal with it, it deals with me....lanky said:From your post i understand you are concerned of this causing agitation. During initiation of the first week of wellbutrin it is common for an increase in agitation/anxiety/ and manic features which varys for different individuals/different diagnosis. What is/are your diagnosis? any history of thoughts of harming yourself or others? Have you ever been in this mood before, and how did you deal with it?
i've tried several. therapists don't have answers. they just let you vent and charge $75 an hour.lanky said:have you been on any other medications for your reactive depression? have you ever seen a therapist on a regular basis? and if so, how did that go?
well, it's kind of having depression brought on by having someones brains blown onto your face or a sudden death of someone close or any trauma. sometimes when you don't deal with things they manifest, like cancer, and start to consume......4everhung said:what is reactive depression?
My vote: Get a new Doctor.HumanTarget said:well, it's kind of having depression brought on by having someones brains blown onto your face or a sudden death of someone close or any trauma. sometimes when you don't deal with things they manifest, like cancer, and start to consume......
that takes too much time. i need it now. i stopped everything about 4 days ago. still coming down off of it. you're talking about long, drawn out sessions with a psychiatrist, which i'm not interested in. i'd rather just siphon thru them until i find something.myway said:My vote: Get a new Doctor.
If you just feel like you are showing up tp grab some pills and drop off 75 bucks, it isn't working for you. I'm not saying your doc is bad. I am saying you probably need a new doc. What may work for some may not work for you.
I have had a gazillion patients taking Budeprion......it does not work for everyone.
My soon-to-be husband took it for a while. He walked around grinding his teeth and clenching his fists.
Find a doc that u feel understands you. Find someone who knows what you need.
i'll put that on my list. i might try Lexapro or str8 up Lithium next.eat big said:Have you tried Paxil CR? That's what I take and it's worked well for me. Just about every other medicine including Wellbutrin didn't work for me.
everything sounds cryptic.samoth said:I had one doctor -- don't recall which one -- mention the possibility of trying Wellbutrin for neuralgia.
It's somewhat difficult finding off-label information.

btw, EB thanks for sharing. it's not easy even mentioning that you take a certain type of med with all of the stigmas attached.eat big said:I tried Lexapro and it's teh suck for me. Lithium is much more powerful and can make you feel better or worse than you've ever felt. Lithium is a big step up.

i took that for over a month and felt pretty good, but the physical sides were too much. migraines almost every 3 or 4 days and bad heartburn....Assertive Guy said:I believe Effexor xr (Venlafaxine) is the most potent anit-d. It's marketed as 'Prozac with a punch'. It's worked for a few people I know.
right now, with no meds whatsoever, i am flying high. like way too high. i get maybe 4 hours of sleep a day. but still work 40+ hours a week and train like a freak 4-5 days a week. i need to relax...eat big said:You might like Mirtazapine. That shit puts me out like no other. It works better for sleep than Ambien, Sonata, Tylenol PM and many more. It does cause weight gain, but not for all.
