Anyone here ever enter that GamePro contest?

For years that magazine would always have that ad in the back about completing a puzzle and winning every game system, a TV a home theatre, computer, etc.

Seemed easy but at 15, $5 was better used for a nick

No, but I bought lots of nickles and dimebags back around that age.

if you are referring to what I think you are, they also had them in the back of baseball card magazines, as well as in music gear magazines.

the way it works is the first is easy although usually has something where a word could be used in at least two places - interchangable words - so you could miss on that.

then if you got that right, they would send you a second one for another $5, and then I think there was a final round after that - they got harder each time - "harder" meaning that there were more interchangable words - so in order to guarentee you got it right, you had to submit multiple entries, $5 each.

never got past the second round of the baseball card one and then I figured out what they were doing
