anyone help here, injury

a few dayz ago. i hurt my left wrist. im not sure exactly how, but i beleive is was doin lateral raisez. my partner and i decdieed to go for forced repz, and somehow i feel as if my wrist took a beating. now the outside of the wrist hurtz when i rotate it. it doesnt hurt much when i pick up a milk container, but the second i try to pour it, i need to drop the container. anyone else ever have something like this??
 
I've had something similar to this, as well as many other aches and pains. If they don't prevent me from working out I just ignore them, if they do prevent me from working out I rest it for a few days, if that doesn't work I think about Prolotherapy. :) hth
 
i cant work out with it. it is to the point where i can't even supinate my wrist. my wrist would rotate past perpendicular with the floor. i tried doin some pulldownz at work, and i couldnt get above 40lbz without severe pain. i guess ill find out friday
 
Just rest it, there's nothing wrong with that. Compensate with something else, such as cardio, but do what you have to to allow it to heal.
 
I had the EXACT same problem, and injured it the EXACT same way, doing lateral raises. I never figured out what it was. If I had to guess -- I'd say it was was a sprain... if you can even sprain your wrist during lateral raises. But I couldn't train bench or biceps, or anything that put any pressure on my wrist for about 2 weeks. After that the pain slowly decreased -- but bothered me for months to follow. That was about a year ago -- and now it is completely recovered.

The only thing I could do for it was to take 2 weeks off it, and then after that I bought some wrist wraps to compress the wrist during the workout, kind of immobilize it... and that helped a lot to deal with the pain of training. If it's still bothering you in a week -- get the wrist wraps... can't tell you how much these helped my recovery.
