Anyone have their private pilots license?

Not to be a smartass, but how you gt a license to fly your junk? And what kind of fireworks you use that don't burn your junk?

I have been looking into getting one.
Cost of trainning appears to be about 7g with all tests and flight trainning.
now if i can get that done i wanna buy my own plane for about 40g.
Problem is i don't want to quit work to get a license.

One of my questions is how much is it to rent the runway space at private air fields etc...?
or Woot did you dad goto school for the amount he took or was it some sort of part time learning?

no mammoth he took a course i dont remember for how long. it was along time ago i bet its changed now. sorry for no help mammoth

When i got mine ,i took lessons on the weekend,every weekend it was required that you have so many Hrs flight time before going solo.
No telling how much everything costs today! this was 18 yrs ago.

Not everyone is cut out for doing 45 degree & up Banks and stalls! That will do it everytime. Bring your own doggy bag!

I used to , could go every weekend to Jekyll Island (a 4 hr drive from here)
Arrive there in about 45 minutes! Play Golf beside the ocean,come back home that same day!
I do not like flying if the weather looks bad!
The Hangar rent ,plus the B/S that the FAA has about having the engine rebuilt every so many flight hrs (expensive) didn't matter if it needed it or not ,it was required.
I finally sold it!

Yea thats what i was wodnering.. it seems the engine needs to rebuilt every 2000hrs in Canada.. no idea on price of hangar rentals though.

Yeah! You couldn't beat it for trips!
Ga to Texas just a few hrs,while driving would take a good 17 hrs.

in the long run it gets expensive.
Of course if you want to save money you could avoid hangar fees & just anchor it!

Hmm good point but of course then your looking at pontoons but i like the option!
