Wouldn't it be easier to just load a slide show onto an SD card and have scenery pictures on your screen? More electricity, I know, and it still looks like a TV.

But, I think that people in general don't find TV's to be offensive enough that they feel the need to hide them.

I didn't want the main focal point in the room to be the TV and take away from the fire place. It's a 50" TV, looks small bc that ceiling peaks at 25ft.
