worked on wood floors? here is why I ask- ok my dad was working on someones wood floors and he mixed some chemicals together and about 48 hours later he started feeling crappy and then woke up on his bedroom floor; didnt remember what happened and then as the day went on he started having seizures and was having a hard time remembering things.

He couldnt finish sentences because he would forget what he was talking about. if he would lay down he couldnt even sit his head up without a seizure and he started vomiting.
Well he also has hepatitis of the liver and his pancreas is pretty much shot. He went to the doctor and they took all kinds of tests and blood work. His white blood platelets count was 43 and not even a full 24 hours later he went back because of the siezures; they did the platelets test again and it had dropped to 30. the doctors did a CAT scan and found he had chemicals toxans in his brain - the chemicals being mixed had dangerous toxans and saturated his brain causing the porblems. so he is in the hospital doing detox and hopefully recharging his blood platelets. The sacriest moment was when he started crying and shaking and saying he didnt want to go to the hospital because he didnt want to die there. I was holding him standing up and thinking God dont take him. Anyone else ever heard of such a thing happening from mixing things?
Whats weird is he said that he didnt smell anything while doing it and usually you can get a wiff and think wooo too strong need to put something like a mask on. Also he has done the wood floors work before and it never happened before.

i do a lot of painting and have almost passed out using certain paint. usually it's a ventilation issue, but this sounds extremely serious, nothing i've heard of before.

He had to be on his hands and knees while working on them.

What was he doing to them? If he was cleaning them with a solvent, then he needs to have on a mask and clean them with a good brush on a handle and have good ventilation.
If he was on his knees and directly inhaling the fumes then he could have killed himself.

Good thing he went to the dr.

When working with chemicals you have to have proper ventilation to avoid overexposure of the toxins.

Make sure the docs know what he was working with

A day or two in the hospital, he should be fine.

OMG D

Thank God he's ok now.

That's scary as hell
