I havn't taken an "actual" lie detector test.
However, I have taken the "do you want to get naked with me test?", said no, but my penis was indicating "yes." I fail that test almost every time.

They put an elastic cord around your chest to measure your respiration, a clip on your finger to measure skin temp and skin moisture, ie. galvanic skin response. Polygraphs are bullshit. They're not admissible in court because their reliability is only slightly better than guessing.
I'd always have a 50% chance of guessing correctly at the truthfulness of your responses if I only gave you yes/no options, and polygraphs run about 62%.

Yeah, if someone had to cover lies, they could just stick a tac in their shoe or something and step on it at the exact time they answered a question so they can't judge their responses acurately (just make sure you don't wince like you're in pain-that would obviously give your scheme away). This would only work though if you stuck the tac in your foot on truthful questions as well, such as your name. That way they'll think, wow, fuck this.

put some bb oils on your skin..and on your fingers...that should through off the sensor a bit.

They might check the tack thing. A dab of Icy Hot on the ol' 'O-ring' will get the job done tho...and there's no way they're gonna check for that.

You can always do like Beavis and Butthead did. Butthead told Beavis that if you hold your breath, they don't know if you're lying. He held his breath through the entire polygraph.
When asked his name, it said he was lying. He took a deep breath, held it in, and then it said he was telling the truth.
Beavis, on the other hand, started telling them that he killed a bunch of people once and they framed him for the Inagoddadavida slayings, even though he was not alive during that time. Beavis was not holding his breath and they said he was telling the truth.

i took one once (i failed), but they had me write the answers first in a quesionnaire, then ask me if i was honest when i said my first name is xxx, was i honest when i said i had nothing to do with the murder of jimmy hoffa, etc.

The most effective lie detectors are NOT machines, it is in fact humans - specifically the CIA / FBI Specialists.

Jenz, I took one for my current employer...no big. Just lie like it's your job. Worked like a charm for me.

Well I don't plan on lying about anything as I've never taken steriods.
I just didn't know if my stress/nervousness would be perceived as lying....
