Anyone ever had an incorrect x-ray report?

I posted a while back about how i thought i may have fractured my ankle. I got hit on the fibula just above the ankle joint pretty hard by a cricket ball, went to causalty the next day and they said there was no break but just bruising and to start putting weight on it after 2 weeks. Well five weeks have past and i still can't put much weight on it and it still hurts intensely if i press on the bone. I'm thinking it must be fractured?? If it is fractured then i've probably made it worse by trying to run on it like they said.

I had a broken ankle x-rayed twice and they didn't catch it. My grandfather was an ortho surgeon and he felt around for ten seconds and found the fracture. Ankle fractures can be hard to spot on an x-ray.

Get another diagnosis, either by x-ray or ultrasound from another place.

Huh?

So you had the x-ray immediately, or not????

I had an X-ray once and they said I had a bottle up my rectum. I thought it was total BS but I got a second opinion and the X-ray came back positive...

Apologies. Yes, i had the x-ray in casualty and tehy said they couldn't see a break. They seemd like they just wanted to rush me out of there.

actually i have seen that situation in the ER, they are never local from the area, actually the person drove about 2 hours to get to the ER so no one local would recognise her,,then there was a guy who shoved a pencil up his penis

Yep have got a pretty good range of motion but the bone still hurts to the touch any decent amount of weight on it.

I guess that stuff happens more than people like to admit it lol

Howard Stern had a doc on his show talking about that stuff and I was shocked at what people stick up their rectums...lightbulbs WTF?!?!
