Theres this place called alligator grill in south austin that hit up by myself on the way to other peoples places north of that since im a half hour south of that. they have 25 cent oysters on half shell, cant ever pass it up.

I adore going anywhere by myself. Especially movies and restaurants.

You could always take your new neighbor, lol.

I'd go too if I were you!

Is there some new stigma about going to a restaurant by yourself?? Fuck it..........I love trying out new shit, so I'm pretty much destined to do alot of shit by myself. Just the other day some Indian restaurant owner tried to scam off her daughter on me, who appeared to be very young......like "maybe" 18.....could have been 16 or 17. Anyway........you never know what can happen......lol.

yeah especially if you sit in the bar area. You always come out with a couple new buddies when you do that

heck yes all the time. i'm afraid i won't get enough food if i bring someone else along.
Buffets would kick your fatass out, straight up.

During the actual meal a quieter atmosphere is preferable really, business lunch appointments often mean little to no lunch for me. The reasons for this are twofold, firstly it’s difficult to communicate with a fork in one hand, a knife in the other and a mouthful of food. Talking or showing other diners your meal during the oral masticating process is bad form, ‘d guess more than half the people on this planet don’t know how to consume a meal in the proper manner and most of them are in asia. Once asked a chinaman why it was necessary to eat so loudly, he said that if he didn’t slurp and hoover the contents of his noodle bowl like a vacuum, it “wouldn’t taste the same.”

Secondly, most people don’t fully understand the only stage in assimilating food in which we have any say, is chewing, once that food travels down the esophagus we have no control over the rest of the biological processes. If you watch people who are engaged in constant conversation during a meal, they’re not breaking down their food or spending enough time consuming each mouthful, they’re swallowing it down quickly to clear the way for air to their vocal chords, often taking a drink to clear the passage. The chewing process is complex, not only the movement of the jaw, the break down of organic material and all the muscles in the face and neck it exercises, but also the interaction and release of enzyme containing saliva, that coat, bind, pre prepare and safety check food for digestion. What the body extracts from a meal, how well the meal is digested and the time and energy used digesting it, depends largely on how well that food is broken down and prepared in the mouth.

Can you please tell us more?

missfit???? is this the same one?

The wife understands I eat every 3 hours. I get light headed and grumpy if i do not. So while out and about I eat out sometimes alone. She does not get upset or anything I often bring her home something if it was a really good place to eat.

I go where I want, when i want and if someone is with me fine. If not fine!

Can't say it much better than that.

yeh, so what's the big deal about going somewhere by yourself?

If by restaurant you mean someplace you sit down and be waited on, then no. I hate to have to wait for my food, so I'll only go if someone has motivated me. Even then it takes some arm twisting.

I have been there before years ago. Good stuff.

I have gone out to eat by myself in the past. However, I always seem to find people to talk too while there.

They don't call me Gabby for nothing... :)
