ok, im dieting and i have issues!!!! i've been convincing myself that whatever food im about to eat, whether its turkey or chicken or whatever...has something wrong with it. like, the other day i convinced myself that the turkey i was about to eat for lunch had gone bad, so i threw it out and had a protien shake instead. or, i was about to eat grilled chicken for dinner and i convinced myself that it wasnt cooked all the way. so i threw it out and had a bar instead..... i told you, i have issues!!!!!! has anyone else gone through something similar???

That's kinda weird. Personally I would do everything I could to avoid more protein bars & mixes in favor of real food. Right now I get real excited when I plan to make myself some eggwhites w/ brown rice & tamari sauce.

I'm not really sure what your "issues" are --- is it like "fear of food" sort of thing where everything looks like calories, but for some reason protein mix & bars are OK because they are "health food"?

Any idea what the "issues" are???

:wavey: issues here!!!
How long have you been training and eating the same foods?

I have recently started trying to eat deli turkey after 18 month break.
I ate it (turkey) daily and soon the sight, smell and texture made me gag!

I'm getting better with my (turkey) issue - I hope you will too.

kel :)

yeah, im akin an eca stack, but its not a lack of appetite issue.
kel, i think its more along the linse of what you said. i am getting better....but i think the fact that its alot easier for me to just have a shake and i know excatlyy how many calories are in it. but, at leats i know that hi si s something thats somewhat common and im not a freak........:)

well..I have been turned off certain foods before, out of lack of desire to eat them anymore. I go through cycles. Like I can only eat 2 cans of tuna each day for so long before I switch to some other source. THings like that.

Then there's foods that have made me sick at one point, and I cannot bring myself to even think of eating them again.

Or you may just be starting to hate food :D

Sounds like you are on the border of an eating disorder. (I didn't mean to rhyme that) Any way you should get it under control before it gets out of hand. Being sick of a certain food is one thing but convincing yourself everything is bad is another, pretty soon it may be that protein shake thats bad.

All of my posts on this board get deleted, but what the imaginary negative place of dwelling.

Eat food.

Yes, eat food. Don't be scared of the food; embrace it, make culinary love to it if need be.

It will not hurt you, unless you snack on rotten mayonnaise.

If you see this before it gets the boot, good luck and happy lifting.

Uptown girl.
