Anyone else do cardio before lifting?

I do 25min max on one machine(bike, eliptical, stairmaster) at I'd say 85-90% of my capabilities. I love it this way because A. I get very warmed up and loose before lifting and B. I get to do the thing I like least 1st and then lift second, almost where the lifting is a reward for getting the cardio done. Any thoughts, is this dumb, possibly hurting my lifts?? I gotta say, it does seem to be working for me/keeping me motivated!

I sometimes do 5 or 10 minutes if I am fairly 'cold', more often in winter cuz it can get down to the 40's here in CA...

25 minutes might be enough to depelet some glycogen stores and effect your lifts...

LOL you said it gets down in the 40's in the winter time, thats warm bro, try sub zero temps and see how it feels.

I wouldnt want to do cardio first because it tires me out too much, I actually do it on seperate days from lifting, but if it works then do it.

Never do cardio b-4 training.....doing afterwards can yield 40% better results

I have in the past done it for maybe 10 or so minutes to warm up.. But found even that negativly affected my heavy lifting...

Corn: 40% better results, as in it helps your lifting days or what???

tsarleon.. I believe what Cornholio means is that your cardio will be more effective for fat burning if done after your weight training.. Your body will be in a state of glycogen depletion at this point so your body will burn more fat as an energy source.. Well at least that was my rendering of it LOL..... Who knows though, maybe he had something else in mind.....
