anyone afraid of dying early due to AAS

So what, lets say i live to be 60 intead of 65. I could walk out of here, get hit by a car and be dead by tomorrow..the way I figure i'd rather look great now!

What scares me most is being an out of shape average piece of shit for 80 years.

I think if you are smart and you use steroids as a part of your fitness arsenal and not the crutch that they become for some people, you will be fine.

If you abuse them and make them a part of your life year round, then you can count your senior citizen years goodbye.

This is the deal...

If you're that worried about dying due to steroid use, then stop using them, if you still wanna, then live for today, not to say they will kill you. I'm 27 and I'm not afraid to die. If I go, I go. As far as juicing, I'd rather look good in my prime because it won't really matter later on in life how you look. It's all bout looking good now.

I totally agree with you Bro moderation is the key, everybody seems to be sayin' that better to die at fifty of liver failure than become old and decrepit but I wonder would they still feel that way if in about 30yrs time they're given 48hrs to live a week before their sons 21st birthday, they also seem to be forgetting that cancer along with liver or kidney failure can be a particularly slow and nasty way to go and is just as dignity stripping as an old folks home!!!
As my signature suggests I like to live life to the full and I certainly don't want to slowly waste away but it is not cool to die at fifty while your kids are still growing up, that is if despite steroid abuse you can still have them!
Moderate use of gear especially androgens is the smartest way to reach your goals because not only is it more discreet and a damn sight healthier but it's also a lot cheaper because modest gains tend to more keepable, and if you only do 1 or 2 cycles a year the time off can be used to consolidate those gains making them PERMANENT! If people refuse to go this route it is either because they're competitive, they're ADDICTED to being jacked or more likely they lack the one thing that this method does require more of...... PATIENCE!!!

Everyone says they dont care when they die, sorry but
if anyone has ever been in a hospital bed facing death,
I can assure you, will think different.

And forget about this die at 60 not 65 bullshit, what
is my concern is dying at 40 or 45 these are good years
that I dont want to miss, of course you can die from
anything but the rationale from some here is your gonna
die from something , TRUE but does that mean you go
to Thailand and have unprotected sex, I dont think so
same goes with the insane dosages ie 1 gram a week
etc, as one earlier stated everthing in moderation.

One more thought, I think that this was the point that BOT was trying to make in his recent thread which turned into a flame war, cos although M18 is a very knowledgable and helpful Bro he doesn't have the benefit of one very valuable asset... hindsight! I'm not sayin' that I have it either cos I'm 36 and I've only started taking gear and I will never use to the extent that some of the bro's on this board do but I wonder wether some of the more experienced [and by this I mean older as well] mods would be a little wiser with regard to drugs, dosages and length or frequency of cycles!

after seeing every one of my immediate family die from a fucked up disease or being murdered....i would rather die from steroids

People really dont give a shit what you look like. The only people that appreciate a muscle bound physique are other bodybuilders. I personally think it is more important to keep a average muscled physique like steeve reeves for example. and maintain it throughout your 30"s 40" 50" 60"s True you can die from other dangers but why push your luck. Staying healthy and strong is what bodybuilding is all about. It would suck to find out you have liver problems at age 50, heck 50 is still young. I am not huge by any of todays standers but I've managed to build a decent build at 36 by hard work and consistency and I never have to worry about any negative effect from steroids. I think you will be better off if you use them only in very moderate doses.

You are right. I just hit 30 and I just hit some personal goals that I have had recently. I squatted 550 for 3 reps, I benched 400 and I deadlifted 585. I am not a huge guy. I weigh 225 at 5' 10".

Recently I have noticed that my cardiovascular and mobility have been greatly reduced. For my New Years resolution I am going to begin taking Muy Thai kickboxing and begin a routine incorporating sprints. I want to have a long and healthy life and psycho cycles of 3 grams of test a week aren't for me.

My father died at 50 from a heart condition and he smoked and drank until the day he died. Believe me! 50 is too young to leave this earth. I don't want my future children to feel like I do now. I almost resent my father for not caring enough to reduce his addictions for our sake.

All of you daredevils out there: Someone does love you and someone will miss you when you are gone. Think about that before you plan some 6 month cycle that your conscience is telling you would be a bad idea.
