Anybody try "hang 10's"

Arny and Drapers, 18 set bi blaster. they would do 6 sets of 3 different exercises. ex. standing barbell curl, seated curls, db curls. one of them would start with at least 10 reps and then handoff the bar to the other (so the only rest is when your partner is doing his 10) for 18 sets. I've never tried it but i heard if you're stuck on bi's, they're good to try for stimulating new fibers and shocking your bis. Doesn't sort of sound like overtraining though???
 
yes absolutely it sounds like overtraining...maybe not if your body is "equipped" to handle it, but either way seems like overkill.
 
when you say "doing your 10 reps" is it failure on your 10th rep? or 10 when you can do 15 or 20?...if its the latter its somethin you might be able to pull off once a month to shock you muscles maybe, but ceratainly not every workout

ocassionaly, about once every six weeks i,ll do a light workout with lots of reps per set.. 3 sets of 20-25... 3 different exercises for each muscle group. (about 180 reps total)Of course i get more rest between sets than you would if you were handing off to each other...
 
honestly, I find a killer back routine is what really hits my bi's and gets them through the plateau's.
 
I've done sets a couple of times, wayback, where I'd do a rep and pass the bar to a partner who'd do a rep and pass it back. I'd then do 2 reps and so on up to 10 each and then back on down to 1. A hundred rep total and aching arms for a week.
 
I did those but not for each bicep exercise. My partner and I would start our bicep routines with bb curls. A set of 10, hand it off and then a set of 9, and so on down to 1. It was great, especially if you are the weaker of the two. It adds competition.
 
The stronger guy could wear ankle weights on his wrists.

They are fun in the usual masochistic way but don't expect to be able to use your arms for a while.
