Anybody else doing zero momentum benching here?

been doing this for about 6 weeks now, noticing some great results on the raw end. i haven't did any shirt work for 3 mos, getting ready to start again maybe tonight


shout out if you're down with the zero momentum and how your progress is coming
 
dev - please explain how you are using it/what you have heard...

I used my own version of it with my raw a while back... I was using doubled up bands and maxing as I would with normal raw bench...

It did work very well, but was also pretty tough on me after about 3-4 weeks...

It did work VERY well during that time... saw great results

I will be playing with it again in the near future
 
first off i only bench once a week and have done so for about 6 mos
every other week i throw in the zero momentum
what i've been doing is reverse bands with chains with a good 1-2 second pause and working up to a one rep max
i use the green and purple bands reversed and have used two sets of greens reversed a couple of times. i also usually use 60 lbs of chains with it

i follow it with the usual tricep work - halbert board/band lockouts, jm presses and a dumbell (tate?) press

we'll see what's up with the shirt tonite

tonight is shirt then some high end board work - maybe some rack lockouts

i haven't done the regular bands w/ chains like mule suggests yet, but prolly will next week

WOW that is some big time "acceleration resistance". I only dabbled with it a bit...

Next time I use it, I probably will be upping my amt of bands (I will probably only go to greens tho). I do 2 workouts a week for 3 weeks then take a break. At the time I was alternating the ZM type work and regular raw work as well... 2 workouts a week.

Right now I am alternating raw work with a shirted/boards day... some of the shirted/boards day (every other) I hit boards only... It is working pretty well...



I like the ideas behind ZM - like I said tho, I have only experimented with it a little (not exactly the same either I realize) - but I will be experimenting with it more and with higher resistance in future training cycles (3 week periods for me)

Thanks for the 411 on what you are doing bro. I will be interested to see your results...
