any powerlifters ever deload

well, right now im feeling pretty beat up.
so for this week, im dropping the weights by 10 % , and cutting the volume by ~ 40 %.

also my ME movements willl be high rep dumbells, and high rep gms.
any thoughts ??
 
I'm in the middle of taking a month off. :)

I also deload two weeks out from a meet, and then take the week before totally off.

im looking at doing this every 5 weeks.
also, i think im gonna spread the wsb template out ot 8 days, for a little more recovery, until my gpp gets higher
 
lets see..i took the week before august 23rd off. took the week after that off. worked out for 2 weeks and now i'm almost in the middle of taking a 2 week stint off of lifting

now that i think about it this fuckin sucks

but my wrists and shoudlers are thanking me
 
I dropped assistance exercises 2 weeks ago (gym had reduced hours for maint/installation) then took all of last week off.

Shoulders feel much better, then I came back monday with a DL PR! I only work out 3 times a week anyway, but I was starting to get some aches & pains.
