ya hella easy most the time it does like up but if it doesn't jus turn the axle a lil and it will mesh together in pop in... Your going to deal with that wether you replace the clutch or not so mine as well... How much is a clutch set anyway 79.95?
Hmmmm 140.00 just depends on how much ur times worth I guess??? If it does go out you know exactly how to rip it apart and put it back together so ya?? Confuse you more lol sry
since you already have it open and access to it yes you might as well change it out. I did my clutch when I putmy built sti motor in. I also had my flywheel resurfaced as it should be done when replacing a clutch. Costs about 30-40 dollars. As for bleeding the clutch I found a simple solution in my car but I don't know about yours. I put a block of wood between the tranny case and the piston to keep the piston closed. Then I had someone pump the pedal by hand until there was pressure than open the bleeder while pushing the pedal to the floor and holding there until the bleeder is closed. Keep doing this until you have the amount of play/grab you desire.
I just discovered that in a video I found on Youtube. The dude said he had a "trick" that made that easier, but I really couldn't follow his procedure. Something about leaving the passenger side half shaft in and rotating that then he lost me.
yea it will make it all fit in better... problem is all new parts are not worn and dont fit in the same.... bc they are remanufactured or whatever... anyways sometimes the bolts may seem to short or not line up etc...
good luck... after the army i bring my truck in even for oil changes ... fuck that manual labor shit
everyone does time in motor pool...no matter your MOS
clutch is pretty straight forward...if you already have the tranny out...thats half the battle (almost all of it) if you didnt break a hydraulic line open there will be no need to bleed it after....
good luck
if i had the transmission out Id do the the clutch...clutch kit should come with clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing...if not, get a kit that does
have the flywheel turned if its not dual mass (any machine shop can do it cheap)

since you have an electro car, i'd just pay someone who knows what the fuck they are doing to get it done. generally if you need to ask for tips on a fitness board about clutch replacement, you are not in a good situation.
