Any new good PS1 games?

I'm going up to visit my gf's family for Thanksgiving and she has an 11-year old brother. He likes football and NASCAR, I know that much.

What are some new good games for Playstation 1 that he may like? Fighting, sports, etc?

any of the tony hawk por skater games, ( I think there are Three now!!! I remember one the first one came out), the original gran turismo, metal gear solid, hmm.. all I can think of right now.
