well I believe in God, and am some what religious. But when I see someone with a cross tattoo I think its really attractive, maybe because they have the religon in there life I dont know. I just am a huge sucker for crosses.

Get something that has personal meaning to you, instead of something someone on an internet forum suggests. Get something meaningful.

Of course, some are very lame. I almost feel sorry for anyone that gets asian writing...
 
Get one of your favorite cartoon character. Bugs, Daffy, Sylvester, Taz, Ren & Stimpy, Sideshow Bob, Krusty, that sort of thing...
 
Along the lines of what jaded said, if you have to ask someone for ideas on a tatoo, you shouldn't get the tatoo, period.

It has to be something personal to you, not something "cool" that some guy suggested over a forum.

i was thinking of this:

its an original so dont copy! egyptian heiroglyhic eye on the base of my neck (behind).
2 chicks hands tatooed on my obliques- sorta like a chick hugging u from behind.
and a dragon fly on my shoulder, black and white, one side normal, but the other half is cross sectional and inside the wings you can see gears and mechanical parts.
 
Whatever you do design it yourself, at least the concept. Nothing would suck more than to be walking down the street and some dickhead has the same tattoo as you do!

I have a lot of tattoos (fully sleeved etc) and get them for the same reason i lift weights. To accent my body in a way that pleases me. I could give a shit if anyone else likes them, I put on me for me.

Thank you. I have three fairly large tattoos, and each one took at LEAST a year of sketching and soul searching to finally get them to where they were unique and personal. My ink is a portrait of who I am and what I'm about, and I won't be one of those people who will be wishing they had never gotten one years later.
 
get a bunch of things you have trouble remembering... then you wont have to..
....remember.... or like.. get a tatoo of a tatoo giving you a tatoo ... dude!!!

Then.. Think about the item you decide on for a few months..
Print it out and look at it every day.

If at the end you still find meaning and like it, go for it..

Definately get something special to you, I have a dreamcatcher on the back of my neck, inside of it is a bear claw, shaded except for the center of the claw is a human skull, out side of the catcher I have two feathers drappin down my shoulders one on each side, I drew it my self and get lots of compliments.
