Meridia is a poor excuse for a "diet" drug. We know that appetite suppression is a bandaid on a broken leg. "Big appetite" is a symptom/sign, no the disease. Appetite is complicated, for it is psychological as well as physical. I don't even write for Meridia or any of the "traditional diet drugs" because the "bandaid on a broken leg" philosophy. So, you want to maintain your weight...gee how about some blood testing to see where your Testo and HGH (IGF-1, etc) level are. Gee, lets take a look at diet, exercise routines. Daily stress levels, sleep patterns, etc. I hope you are seeing the big picture here--this is my philosophy.
Well lets see, I'm sure some of you will beable to rip apart my diet but I feel it is quite good.
Blood testing was done, although my doctor did not tell me my results nor did I ask. I assumed everything was okay since he did not get back to me.
- I get 8-10 hours sleep a night.
- Only stress I have is my hunger.
- I work 10 hours a day hard labour (extra calories burned)
- I workout for an hour 3 days a week (no cardio)
- I'm 5'10 160 10-11% BF and I consume 2000 cals a day to maintain my weight.
Daily routein...
Breakfast - 4 Egg whites, 2 whole eggs and a slice of whole wheat toast. or Oatmeal with flaxseed oil.
Off to work.
Snack - Protein Bar
Lunch - Either some chicken breast, turkey or tuna
Off work
Snack - Protein Shake
Workout - Lift for 1 hour
Dinner - I eat something different everyday usually clean.
Doing this every morning I have successfully been able to maintain my weight only my hunger is through the roof.
As for my eating disorder that I created for myself back in the day when I had no idea how to diet... I think what I did was stretch my stomick so much that no matter what I will always want more food. All I want is something to stop the suffering. I realize meridia is just a bandaid and won't last forever but if it will help me for a month or two than that is great. I'll take it for what its worth.
I have tryed doing some cardio and eating more but cardio just increases my appetite and the extra 400 calories I add still doesn't satisfy me. Also as soon as the cardio stops and I keep the extra 400 cals I will start to put on weight.
