Any chemists/physiologists/geneticists wanna tackle Biotest on this one?

Sure you're following the Myostatin protein-blocking research being sold by Biotest these days...$70 for 40 caps (with no clue how long a bottle lasts).

Pesonally, I liked the description of the research done to date. Hell, I even believed it!

Then the tune changed, and worried me. Suddenly, Tim admitted that there are no studies done on the effects in humans, but he "felt it was wrong" to deny access to the prodyuct just for the sake of doing more research. In other words, he quite plainly says his approach is to sell now, find out if it works in humans later. THEN he admits that the gains will be less than those of Mag-10 or steroids. The advantage, he reassures, is that the gains are in the form of actual new muscle fibers (instead of simply enlarged versions fo the fibers we already have), which also makes the gains permanent.

I recognized some standard Biotest gimmicks:

1) this stuff is so hard to get, it'll be unavailable quickly. So buy it NOW!

2) You wanna make sure you have enough on hand to see results, so when you buy, buy a LOT!

3) Like every other product, this stuff with blow away and revolutionize the entire industry!

So aside from the sales tactics, can anyone give an insight into the legitimacy of the claimed research?

doesn't deserve a response

I have a biochem. degree, but this is so absurd it doesn't even deserve a response. Proteomics is the hottest thing in biotech. these days and companies like Genzyme, Genentech, Biogen, are just making protein sequencing for disease applications, most of which are still in the lab stage, not even in trials. The sad thing is with the marketing money they're spending these days plenty of naive people will buy. I the only good thing I'll say about them is they're probably all making alot of $$ by simply following the EAS model of years ago, and before that Weider's anabolic growth packs, and the king of all Cybergenics.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!

Holy shit!!! I haven't laughed so hard in quite some time.

Just tell them this:

How do they expect the ORALLY-admistered caps to PASS
through the digestive tract INTO the blood-stream, THEN
(to boot), get diffused into the muscle-cell to inhibit
the myostatin-expression gene??????

CROCK OF SHIT.....

Myostatin-inhibitors only truly work when INJECTED.

The Biotest people better thank their lucky stars I have
a lot of things to do right now because, I would
make their product go down the tubes in a micro-second.

Also, I would love to know hoiw they got permission to MARKET
the substance....LOL

This because, its only sold for research and is VERY, VERY
expensive not to mention it has to be handled with
the out-most care.

Next thing you know they'll come out with supplemental MGF................LOL

Exactly. Very well said.

It still amazes me how gullible some people are.

A protein-based OTC SUPPLEMMENT capable of changing gene expression.........yeah, maybe in a million years...LOL
