all you growers may hate me, but.......... I go to the store, buy already potted CLONES. Let them grow a bit longer in their pots on the window sill (march) then put them in the ground (april/may) in my garden and let nature take it's course. They begin to bud out in august and come to complete fruition by the end of September. I trim the heavy leafage twice to help force the plant energy into bud production.
To cure them (correct me if I'm wrong) I strip all of the leaves off of the stalks, leaving the buds, hang them upside down for 2 months. surprisingly, the weed is really good, as good as any i have ever bought in the shops here. (Although, not as good as one-hit-humbolt weed, the stuff that comes from northern california.)
