Any body ever grow pot?

Males look for the flowers small seed like buds starting within couple of mths. depending on when you cut your lights back seperate from females and you can throw them away.most indoor operations if you use 400 HPS or Metal Hy. or 1000 HPS Red rays similar to sun and 1000 Metal Hy. BLUE rays use both you will get a broader range of light spectrum. If you want a small operation you need 2 walk in closets paint them white for reflective properties One room for 24 hr. and then move into 12 on 12 off room put flourescent 8 foot along the wall and hang your 400 HPS/400Metal Hy. Or use a 1000 HPS in the center put plastic on the floor you will make a mess .use 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 gallon plastic pails put 2 inside of each other and put holes in the top one bottom pail will hold excess water buy a 15 gallon drum and a strong pump(fish tank) with a timer for lights and fertilizer solution 10-10-10 in grow times run 24 hours when 2 feet tall turn lights on timer 12 on 12 off do not open when lights are off this will delay budding. Be patient and enjoy keep temp in the 70-85 range if it gets to hot they will stunt.I almost forgot you need a Ionizer in the room to kill the aroma. You will need good seeds from good weed also. This is a little sloppy I didn't have much time. sorry.
sorry almost forgot 3-6 months to get mature bud going if you use 2 rooms cut buds off then put plant back in the 24 hr room and start over with the same plants. Run your light during the day cuts back on police reading heat from roof tops and light beaming out of your house at night.

Bobber, this is your first time, keep it simple.
You can purchase flourescent lighting at almost any hardware store, even Walmart. Purchase a total of 150-200 watts, may cost $50, plant 2 seeds, use Petes soil, its fortified with goodness, put the Petes in a small, clay pot, water it down, plant 1 seed about an inch below the wet dirt, same with the other seed, wait a few days, when sprouted, begin the lights for a month of 24 hour lighting, after a month, force flowering by switching to a 12 on 12 off, during the flowering stage is when you determine the gender of the plant, males will have pollen sacks, they look like little balls, females will have a small pouch with 2 very distinct white hairs protruding (the net is full of pics of each males and females, you can find them easily), if both are males toss them, sure they can be used for this and that, but this is your first time, just toss them, if one is male other is female, toss the male, you get the point, keep the females, get any male out of there because it could pollinate the other and possibly herm it out. After the plants show gender your flowering will take around 10-14 weeks, you may have to change pots due to size of the roots, clay is the best, just break the clay with a hammer, the plant will already be molded accordingly, have a larger pot ready with soil in it to take up the space,do some research. www.hempcultivation.com go to the forums, no question goes unanswered. peace

I have a friend who, back in the old days, would try to grow pot in his closet. He spent thousands of dollars on lights and some weird ass machine with lights inside to grow with.. and it NEVER worked right.
Now he lives in Northern California and has 10 acres of weed growing. He brought back a TON of it for Christmas. He told me everyone out there grows it.. I do not smoke dope.. but this stuff smelled good.

I have quit drinking. I am just getting some info to see how difficult it really would be to grow my own plant. Just one for my own personal use. I would only burn at night after lifting and getting all my studies done kind of as a release. Now to give evryone the karma they deserve, thanks guys.

Growth phase:
Buy high output flourescents. 24 hours/day for 6-8 weeks. Keep lights as close to weed as possible, but no closer than 2 inches away from tips. Don't over water!
Bud phase:
Change photoperiod to 10 hours on, 14 hours off. When buds appear, cut water back 30% if you want potent, resinous buds.
Growth phase:
